So, I decided to take my laptop with me. But as I got into bed, my mind wouldn’t stop racing. My heart was pounding it felt like it was thumbing hard into my throat. I couldn’t breathe. I got up, splashed some ice cold water on my face, and just stared at myself in the mirror. For a moment, it felt like I was watching myself from outside my body.
I realized that I had created this stressful situation. My body was physically telling me to stop. I didn’t know it could do that. I was successful, yes, but I wasn’t living my best life. Something needed to change.
I considered drastic measures—quitting, selling everything, starting over with a simple job. But then, a moment of clarity hit me. Instead of looking for answers outside, I looked inward. My mindset shifted.Like I was fully awake. Suddenly, I felt abundant in choices and empowered to create the life I wanted.
I grabbed my laptop, responded to the client, and assigned my second-in-command to handle the situation in my absence. I empowered my manager with a few tips and stepped back. The client never contacted me again, and my team built a strong relationship with them. Letting go had freed me up to focus on the bigger-picture.
Over the next few months, I worked with a mindset coach who taught me that addressing the symptoms of stress and ego is not enough. To truly transform, you must tap into your high-flow performance state and embody your future self. To BECOME that person you truly are inside.
I started dedicating 2-4 hours each day to focused deep flow work, allowing me to lean into my natural potential while expanding my team to handle the rest. This practice brought me peace and clarity. Other techniques we teach strengthened my brain and decision-making abilities, and enhancing both my mental and physical health.
As a result, my revenue quadrupled, my team doubled, and I became more connected with my family.
The reason I share this is that the problem isn’t that you’re not working hard enough, or that you need to be more present in your business or seek more strategies.
The real issue is that you’re simultaneously pressing the gas and brake pedals—creating a cloud of smoke, fear, and confusion.
